hi kira,no u dont need a wii u to post photos all u have to do is click flipnote and pick any flipnote u like and press the home button dont turn exit the software,then click miiverse and clicl post youll see a photo icon

it works on some games too btw

try putting on a screen protecter it will help smoothen the scratches, i have a screen protectrer on my 3ds screen.
