it suddenly takes my ds like 40 seconds to boot up. everything is formatted correctly and im only running a 32 gb Sd. any ideas?

Try to get a fast speed sd witgh 64gb

If the home menu is full it'll take longer to boot. If it's an original model 3ds (Doesn't have the new naming scheme), it'll take longer. My 3ds takes 15-20 seconds to boot. It could also be the sd card if its failing or has a low R/W speeds
thats just what modding does, really. although i heard custom themes and splashes can impact load times
