can you explain me why modern routers hate 3ds consoles?, talking about that, i might be out pretendo for a little because where i live has so many power shortages and its a pain to connect my 3ds to wi-fi, also when my router turns off my 3ds internet connection goes too.
Well as a it professional I can say is that old router and it's standards is out of date. Newer ones are optimized with new hardware and standards so 3ds will eventually can't go online anymore (same with iphone 3)
it might be because the wifi configurations are too high for the 3ds
but you can use a hotspot
modern routers use a protocall known as WPA3 which the 3DS doesn't support older routers use WPA2
