will bo2 and cod ghosts ever get back up online? or is it not possible to do it?

from what i know of, they probably are not going to because it was activision servers, not nintendo i think
cant they mod the game and change what server it connects to? by using sd caffeine to temporarily change game fils to achieve it? or something
