Maybe you prefer the console feel of City Folk. ACNL is awesome, but I prefer handhelds so that's why it'll be my go to.

I usually prefer handhelds too, and ACNL may still be my favorite game in the series, but for some reason when I'm depressed (which I am now) I think of the depression too much while playing NL, but not as much in CF.
