Imo it's not better than Mario Kart 8, but is a great game, I sure recommend it!
mario kart 7 is killer. A superb prologue to mk8
Mk7 imo is the best out of the franchises, because it's like if mkds and mkwii were combined into one game, so yes I would say it's a really good game.
