I was looking into trying out digital art, but I have no clue where to start or what to do. What should I do? I feel lost already, and I haven't even started yet.

Not an expert, but regarding Wii U there is Art Academy. Never used it myself but it may be a good place to start. If you're referring to PC, then I suggest Krita, there's some tutorials on YT.
if you have a tablet I recommend ibis paint, it's free and easy to learn/use :] I personally use krita which is also free. You can even just use your notes app!
