How do I confirm my email? I'm using Pretendo on the 3ds and haven't gotten any emails about verification... Do I even need to confirm it..?

switch to pretendo with nimbus and then open system settings and click "Nintendo Network ID Settings" at top of first page. follow the process and use pretendo login details for existing account. when done open same settings page to sign in and verify email there.
you need code from email so check your spam folder or resend verification email from website
Well, I created this account like half a year ago. Don't think that that email is anywhere anymore. Resending it just gives me an error. And my inbox is as empty as ever...
