I am having trouble adding a friend it gives the error 101-0103

A Wii U user & a Nintendo 3DS user can't friend each other. A Nintendo 3DS friend code is different and is only for that console, while the Wii U uses a Nintendo Network ID in order to friend Wii U users. Or it might be an internet connection problem.
