Turned on my Wii U today and it took a suspiciously long time to boot. First the disc drive didn't make noise, then it took a minute to get to the Wii U Menu. I'm sure it's fine

Well, didn't make noise for 30 seconds
The Wii U is known take a bit to load things
It never took this long though
That thing has months to live
get wiiuident and check what brand your nand is. hynix nands are more prone to failure so it could just be your wii u is starting to die
The first thing I did was check the eMMC. It's a Toshiba
