Iv'e been thinking about this recently as well. Decal is deff the easiest option, you could even do a custom image too. The shell swap would be nice but you have to find a good shell. On top of the O3ds being a nightmare to take apart and rebuild.

there is nothing structurally wrong with mine so I may just do a vinyl wrap on mine when I install new buttons, joystick and usbc mod.

I am gonna stick w a decal since there is nothing really wrong with my shell. also ive seen some type c to 3ds charger adapters, those look like theyd maybe save you some time and maybe a headache over a type c hardmod
