Ive heard u can use the FTPD app to download stuff from the internet to ur sd card without removing it. Is that true?

yes its true, it uses the SFTP protocol allowing you to transfer files via network
you can also access to the wii u nand files, just dont delete the files or the wii u will get B R I C K E D
Yes. It's really convenient, but if you don't want to use an FTP client on windows for the software you'll have to use the terminal command for FTP instead.
