it's only really similar in that it has a big open world. play it if you like numbers and mechs

I haven't either and I really want to play the original first, I think you can get the original Wii game on VC so I might try that

Its different compared to the others. Good time though, takes a lot from MMOs, more than any other game in the franchise.

A real good game if you like JRPG with a lots of robots, sci-fi story and a big world to discover. Its my favorite!!!!
