Still unsure why he died

Well people who abstract dont really DIE but yea, he was breathing in a panic way so i assume despite the hug he was still rapidly losing his mind.

I think he was freaking out because he knew there was no way back and the hug made him realise what he missed out on by pushing people away. I think he changed his mind in that moment and wanted to turn his life around, but it was too late.
