Ok did you enter the ip adress of your laptop correctly into the configuration file? Do you have sunshine for moonlight on the laptop? did you restart it once it installed? Did you restart the wii u?

Restarting my laptop fixed most of the problems. also make shure to update your graphics drivers! and what OS are you running? Windows, for me has been especially buggy with my old ish technology
