has anyone elses 3ds had a issue where when you turn it on it just makes a popping sound and shuts back off? it just happened to my sisters which she has the og 3ds but i think the problem has to do with a ribbon cable

I've never experienced the issue, but I've heard of it before and I believe it is a ribbon cable issue, yes.
idk if it works but ive heard that sometimes, if you have the screen at a low angle, sometimes it may power on. idk how true this is but wouldn't hurt to try ig... but yeah probably the ribbon cable like the other guy said.
This exact thing happened to my 2ds while I was trying to fix the touch screen, it stopped working because I broke a ribbon cable or connector. My advise is trying to re seed all of the connectors but I heard the wifi thingy causes the most problems so try that first.
