Nintendo readded the ability to redownload games in NA, which was previoudly discontinued. Downloading 3DS transfer tool on my DSi XL right now.

Launched DSi shop for music, got transfer tool instead.
What do you mean? It never was discontinued and Nintendo doesn't have any plans on discontinuing redownloads for any platform anytime soon.
The DSi shop was discontinued, if you want proof, you can search it up, but, unlike the Wii shop / 3DS Shop / Wii U shop, for some reason, in NA ONLY, you could not redownload DSiware that you bought using your hard-earned money. But when I launched the DSi shop, I saw the 3DS TT
The 3DS TT standing for 3DS Transfer tool because I run out of room in my post. Also you can still redownload DSiware on the 3DS servers, as the DSiware on those servers was copied from the DSi servers. Previously, you could only System Update / Transfer if you had the 3DS TT
