Switch 2 prices are fucking ridiculous imo. $450 for the console, $90 for 'physical' games (basically just license keys on game cards) and $80 for digital games. Tbh I wasn't planning on buying it anyways, but I'm definitely going to steer clear now.

Same. Only gonna get one if there's some ridiculous hardware flaw that allows for easy homebrew like the Switch 1. Nintendo's lost their way ever since Reggie left & Iwata died...
Not all games are fake physical titles, only those marked as such. The game pricing is ridiculous but it seems to vary on the title. Donkey Kong is $70 digital (physical versions get an added $10 as you seem to have already figured out) so Nintendo is just milking the success of
MK8DX by adding another $10 for no reason. It annoys me that some people are saying it's this expensive because of tarrifs when it is literally the same price in its home country. Supposedly, this same scenario of everything being too expensive happened with the 3DS before the
complaints were too much and they lowered the prices. To make matters worse, and confuse the less intelligent citizens of the USA to once again blame the tarrifs for everything, a Japanese language only version of the console exclusive to Japan is only around $347. We CANNOT
allow them to get away with this. Just because you have this whole great line up of games doesn't mean that most people won't buy it because you made it too expensive. Nintendo has become blinded by success and has forgotten who they're supposed to be ever since the very console
I'm typing on (the Wii U) failed. It took a sequel console to bring back a microphone and camera when it should have been on the Switch (1) from the start. Everything I mentioned, plus a paid tour app, expensive pricing all around for the average person, DLSS being forced on for
first-party game (presumably, Mario Kart seems to be the only one confirmed so far to be using it), the brand new button being a freaking NSO feature, and forcing the entire world to use an SD Card format just about no one (including me) has heard about until today, which as
crazy as it sounds really seems like a proprietary format made just for Nintendo, sets the Switch 2 up for an even worse disaster than the Wii U. They fixed their marketing, but have overshot the hype for it and the audience it should be for. The minuses outweigh the pluses sadly
, which really sucks as otherwise it has a lot of potential. At least Tomodachi Life and Rhythm Heaven are also releasing on the Switch. Alright, I got to go to bed now. Sorry for this giant multi-post wall of text, I talk a lot sometimes.
One more thing, I meant to say "for *every* first-party game" but I somehow forgot that word. Goodnight everyone!
