Im pretty sure you can't just play games directly from the gamepad itself without the base console on
get an emulation handheld like AYN Thor imo. The Wii U is a home console after all lol
if i take my dads truck i have a power supply and yes i know how to mod a og wii so it cant be that different
btw i have an iphone 8 and an emulation handheld is expensive
