unfortunately botw is very demanding graphically and cannot be played on a 3DS. You can checkout the Wii U version if it helps (you can kinda play it portably if you play on gamepad screen by tapping it)

If you understand the key differences between the 3DS and Wii U versions of SSB4 or Tomodachi Life, you could theoretically apply the same changes to the WUP version and run it on 3DS. However, given how demanding BOTW is on Wii U, trying to run it on 3DS is not a good idea.

Probably the same way Vice City got ported to Dreamcast. Honestly its more likely to port BotW to Saturn or 3DO than 3DS

The only way that could remotely work is if there was a Homebrew tool that lets you mirror your Wii U to a 3DS.

maybe you could try moonlight, so you stream your PC to your 3ds (andvI won't explain how to play botw on the PC
