Ummm you can install mods and there's a lot of really good ones, though the setup is awful.

The wii u and switch botw have been tested and they consistently have very similar frame rates. The main reason that i bought wii u botw over switch botw is the price wher switch botw is ~$60-70 whereas wii u botw it is $20-30.

And the gamepad is generally considered more ergonomic than the switch handheld mode is if that is your main way of playing.

@JC I tried getting the Zelda's Ballad mod on here and it just wouldn't boot. So yeah, setup is god awful
