Gen 4 for me. I played Diamond and Pearl on my DS and I like the anime too.

Alola was the best in my opinion, i dont remember was it gen 7 or 9
Gen 2 is the best imo. It wasn't my childhood Pokemon game, but it was the first I played getting back into the series, so I've got good memories with it.
