artists i have a question how do you draw heads

Mostly in the style below. Sometimes for humans I draw Simpsons style, but I usually draw Blorbos(the drawing below).
Not much of an artist but I do them as the post above shows.
I draw a circle, then the mid-line, then the temple, then the chin and cheeks, the I erase some lines, then I add the neck and shoulders. :DDD
