Does anyone remember MvsDK: Amiibo Challenge? It was a free game on the 3DS eShop, but forced you to buy Mario Amiibos to unlock most levels in the game. I got a Wario Amiibo new for $20 a few years ago, but realised I could get a full MvsDK game for cheaper and gave up on AC.

imo amiibo challenge is more fun the different characters and their abilities make everything feel a bit more fresh. mario vs dk tipping stars just feels like another mario vs dk game it's fun but it's quite generic kinda like the nsmb games in a way
if you want to play mario vs dk amiibo challenge now I'd recommend you to just bypass the amiibo requirement instead of wasting so much money on amiibo especially with how expensive amiibo can be now
I still have that game installed on my Wii U.
i have it on my 3ds but the touch screen nfc reader stopped working
