First of all, go to the friend list card, options > delete friend card. 2nd of all, SD card placement SUCKS!!!
The poor new 3ds xl quality control. The beautiful paint WILL eventually chip off, and the types of screens and hinges are a lottery. It def was a late afterthought of a console
Old 3DS XL has that thin plastic over the hinge lock and it WILL crack, just you wait. Never lost a stylus but they seem to wear down over time and won't stay in the slot.
