That sounds wack. I love using older consoles, especiallythe WiiU. It just had personality with Miiverse and being able to see randoms' opinions and posts when booting up your home screen.
At least its Wii U, not the og Wii. I used to get made fun of for having a Wii before i upgraded to Wii U
i collect retro consoles and the wiiu is a fantastic bit of kit, still holds its own to this day. juxt is an example of love for the console.
