i just found my 3ds a couple days ago and i fixed the charger but its a bit sketchy, should i fix the charger or should i replace the port to a usb c type? let me know.

There is a lot that could go wrong with hardware modding the 3DS. I would just replace it with a normal port. If you have money, and you're fine with risking breaking your 3DS, go for it.
I think you can buy a custom 3DS shell with a USB-C opening. IDK though.
