haven't completed the trial of the sword, but it seems like a botw version of the Cave of Ordeals from twilight princess. do the shrines, and make sure you do the one on Eventide Island, as it will orient you for the survivalist mindset. also helps if you have done the CoO.

You keep any buffs and extra hearts you have when you start, so have 30:00 defense 3 active before you start.

In almost every trial, there will be some food somewhere. also look for any tree branches, axes, and other basic weapons laying around. dont just ignore the small ones, they will come in clutch. you got this!
