Not only that, but he randomly pecks, which is so fast that you often can't react, and fall to your doom, usually along with at least one teammate. I'm lucky enough to have people to play this with, but I have no clue how you even beat this guy solo.

Also, he has an absolutely absurd amount of health, and he'll often fly away after single hit. He spends an obnoxious amount of time invulnerable to damage, since he takes his sweet time flying around. The arena does have some hearts, but it's not many, and they're hard to get.

This stupid bird is actually harder than the Desert Temple boss fight. That boss has more hearts, a large safe zone, and simple attack pattern you can easily dodge. This turkey is the worst boss I've ever fought in any video game I've played. I despise this bird.
