3DS original wasn't powerful enough. It still struggles on the NEW 3DS. If you have minecraft on NEW 3DS, i'd reccomend the revamp mod pack on the minecraft store in universal updater. Fixes a lot of bugs and adds a lot of features from modern minecraft
