Am i the only one that can't play Mario Kart 7 online??!!??

has anyone noticed the last couple of days lately. ive been forced into last place by people with stars. it gets a little boring after a while. this was more common on MKDS back then so i'm used to it. it gets old after a while.has anyone else besides me notice this issue on MK7?
