good game but playing it with a gamepad with drift makes me want to destroy it 10/10 game

So PS4 Edition got updated to Village and Pillage (1.14). All Legacy versions run on the same engine, C#. Can't we just mod Village an Pillage into Wii U Edition? The code is already done for us.
