Quick question: Is there a way to play vWii games with the GameCube controller + adapter?

Just bought a New Nintendo 3DS XL for just 100 euros (about the same in dollars) and I'm so excited to play with it. My 3DS got broken like 5 years ago and I just wanna play my games again.

Why do Nintendo wants me to cruelly kill these little creatures by violently swallowing them and turning them into a yarn ball which will be crashed to a wall because Yoshi's aim is absolute garbage? They are SO CUTE <3 <3!!!
