But, it taught me that not envolving yourself in situations that seem disadvantageous or stupid isn't the same as letting go of something that will, short hand, lead to disadvantageous or stupid results. One of them, undoubtedly, leads to an oportunity of self betterment.

Mentally, I know that somewhere along the line I twisted showing off with making mistakes, by the fear of being rejected, to the point of failing to try things. However, that, in it of itself would ironically lead to long term discomfort.
