So I recently bought a Wii U and just want to make sure I understand this, Wii U games will be saved on the internal storage / external hard drive, while vWii games and screenshots/homebrew for Wii U and the vWii will be stored on the SD Card right?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I know Splatoon 1 has been revived, have the Splatfests been revived as well? I recently ordered a Wii U off eBay and am excitedfor Splatoon and was just wondering if I'll be able to experience Splatfests again. :)
