What is the worst map mode in the game, and why is it Port Mackerel Zones?

Update to a previous post, I do have nimble. It worked up until last night. I did edit my save for better gear, but I don't think that's it, because I did that today, and it's been like this before that. The error code was 101-0502.

Everytime I start up splatoon, there is NO news, and I can't receive the news data either. Any solutions?
