I personally like Wii U more. I still do love the 3DS though!

I prefer the Wii U because nostalgia and it could perfectly emulate Wii and several other consoles. The 3DS has a slightly better library than the Wii U, and it has a larger homebrew community behind it.

3DS was as great handheld, but i've got so many memories with the Wii U.

I was a late adoptor of Wii U (bought 2016). I regret not purchasing a New 3DS XL. Alas, since I dont own one... my vote is for Wii U. Side note, FB seller has a white New 3DS XL for $180 CAD. Its already modded, should I go for it? Looks to be in great shape. Its a Japan model.

hmmm... 3ds kinda hurts to mash. Maybe there's a way to connect a contoller to 3ds? Wii U might be better, but it can't play BW or B2W2... I use Wii U more often so maybe it's better?
