Update to a previous post, I do have nimble. It worked up until last night. I did edit my save for better gear, but I don't think that's it, because I did that today, and it's been like this before that. The error code was 101-0502.

Sometimes you need to delete your shared save data. It can be pretty finicky
delete this file in the splatoon save folder , when you restart the game it will make a new one and you should see the squid sisters broadcast :)
