i cant play mk7 online with my internet but i can at my friends house with his internet, but why?

It typically has something to do with the modem/router. Some like to interfere with Wii and 3DS connections. Had a similar issue with a Wii U too actually.
Otherwise, it could be on the Pretendo servers' end.
