wanting to experience this game for the first time, should i do it solo or try finding people? just sat in the lobby for a while but found noone on the first level

I fully believe the ful experience is doing it with more people (if you find anyone, that's the hard part-), but you can try it solo! It's a hard challenge with bosses
When I first started (years ago) I played a few levels solo first, just so I wasn't a total noob with strangers online. Controlling all 3 Links feels like a chore at first but you'll get used to it!
Playing with doppels (solo) is a pretty bad time. I recommend finding friends or joining a TFH community! A pretty active and welcoming one is this server here: https://discord.gg/tri-force-heroes-136932449052655616
